Taylor Armstrong’s Shocking Black Eye Photos

RadarOnline.com:
Taylor Armstrong documented the physical abuse she allegedly received at the hands of her husband Russell Armstrong, and the shocking photographic evidence was released on Monday night.

As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported, Russell allegedly hit Taylor in the right eye so hard that she was rushed to the hospital and had to have plastic surgery to fix her damaged face, and now the photos of her black eye have been shown on Entertainment Tonight.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star gave the television show the photos that show her with a complete black and blue bruised right eye socket, with a cut near her eyebrow.

Since Russell’s suicide in August, Taylor’s marriage has been the focus of intense scrutiny, from their dire financial straits to her claims that her husband beat her; the release of the photos seemingly back up her claims of the violence she suffered at the hands of her now deceased husband.

Taylor’s co-stars in the reality show tried to help her and confronted her with the knowledge that she was suffering from abuse in her troubled marriage and she decided to pull the trigger on her marriage. "Taylor knew she could no longer stay in her marriage. She was physically and emotionally abused by Russell. Taylor needed to know from the Housewives that they would be there for her when she decided to file, and they have been," the source reveals.

"Ever since Russell's suicide, the other cast members have truly stepped-up. Bravo has also been extremely supportive of Taylor during this time," a source close the star told RadarOnline.com

Entertainment Tonight first aired the shocking photos Monday night to promote a special ET investigation, which will air Tuesday.

Taylor Armstrong Lands Book Deal; To Include Abuse Photos Of Battered Face

RadarOnline.com:
It’s been less than a month since Taylor Armstrong’s estranged husband killed himself and RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned she’s already inked a book deal, which will include personal photos of injuries sustained during her alleged abuse from Russell Armstrong.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s book will be about domestic abuse, but desperate for money, a source reveals Taylor will be including the photos hoping it will boost sales.

“Taylor’s acting like she’s not trying to bank off Russell’s suicide, but by including photos of her injuries after he allegedly beat her, that’s exactly what she’ll be doing,” an insider told RadarOnline.com.

“It’s no secret that Taylor’s been strapped for cash since Russell died, and since she hasn’t received the advance on her book yet, a few of the Housewives have been helping her out financially.”

As RadarOnline.com was first to report, Taylor kept photographic evidence documenting the abuse she was allegedly enduring at the hands of Russell.

“Taylor is hoping to have the book out by the end of November, just in time for the holiday sales,” the source said.

“Not only is Taylor going to write about her own personal experiences, but she wants to spotlight other celebrities who have been involved in domestic abuse situations.”

Bravo Will Air Taylor & Russell Armstrong Marriage Counseling Sessions

RadarOnline.com:
Bravo executives have decided to air footage of Taylor and Russell Armstrong's marriage counseling sessions on this season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.

Taylor and Russell both agreed to have their marriage counseling sessions filmed. "Bravo has made the decision to air their marriage counseling sessions. Taylor is supportive of the network airing the therapy sessions. Bravo will be looking at those sessions and doing any necessary edits if needed, given Russell's suicide. Both Russell and Taylor were filmed individually during their sessions. Taylor's will definitely be airing, although it's likely that Russell's individual sessions won't be," a source close to the situation tells us.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported Taylor was extremely emotional when she watched the season premiere Monday night. "Taylor watched the entire episode several days ago. She was very moved by the heartfelt comments that each of the Housewives made regarding Russell's suicide. There were a lot of tears shed as she watched the episode," a source close to Taylor tells us.

A network spokesperson told RadarOnline.com: “The producers and Bravo are in the process of re-editing the entire series. As a result, any report regarding the content of upcoming episodes is mere speculation.”
Considering all the supposed threats Russell's family is making regarding Bravo airing any footage of Russell this season, I highly doubt Bravo would risk it and go against their wishes.

Emotional Beverly Hills Housewives Open Up About Russell Armstrong Suicide In Season Premiere

EOnline.com:
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premiered tonight (as the Bravo network had announced last week) with the cast discussing the tragic suicide of Russell Armstrong.

Taylor Armstrong, his estranged wife, was, understandably, not part of the gathering at Adrienne Maloof's manse.

How exactly did the cast react to Armstrong's death? And did Taylor appear in the show at all?

Group Therapy: Setting a somber scene for tonight's episode was the recently taped discussion by the cast about Russell's tragic suicide. Most agree that in focusing on supporting Taylor, maybe they didn't pay enough attention to her estranged husband. "We didn't really see Russell," Kim Richards notes, while Lisa Vanderpump more bluntly confesses, "I had too much information to want to connect with him." Adrienne agrees: "The things we were told about their marriage was heartbreaking." Camille Grammer adds, "I think what we were doing was just protecting our friend."

Kyle, the most emotional of the bunch, suggests that Russell's fall from grace in status-oriented Beverly Hills contributed to his suicide: "Financial status is so important [here], you need to keep this front of what you have." She adds, a bit naively considering Russell's well-documented legal problems, "That's all he ever wanted to be—be successful and be a venture capitalist…when it all went down the tubes it was too much pressure." Then Kyle offers just the segue Bravo needed to continue with their regularly scheduled programming: "As difficult as that is, life goes on…it has to."

Cleaning House: Surprisingly, very few scenes featuring Taylor were cut from tonight's premiere, nor did the episode shy away from the subject of her troubled marriage. In fact, in her very first appearance, a shopping trip with Kyle, the brunette alludes to the marital strife after Taylor resolves to speak to Lisa, whom Taylor finds "intimidating": "This is the year for me that I do have to make sure that I'm at least speaking my mind," she says. To which Kyle responds, "If people are in your life because you haven't been speaking up to them, it's time to clean house." However ambiguous the editing makes this seem, the allusion here is to Russell, not Lisa, and the often-discussed communication breakdown within the Armstrongs' marriage.

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Last season Adrienne contrasted her lighthearted bickering with hubby Paul Nassif with the Armstrongs' "unhealthy" relationship. Still Adrienne's comments about her marriage raise some flags: "Like two ships passing in the night, we enjoy each other's company—in small doses…Two hours is a long time for us," she says jokingly. No one was laughing when the couple quarreled at a dinner party they hosted to celebrate Camille's guest gig on $#*! My Dad Says. In fact, their argument regarding a toast made the guests almost as uncomfortable as an appearance by Allison DuBois' electric cigarette.

Sister Act: At least the literal olive branch Adrienne extended after her toast led to some goodhearted teasing between the Richards sisters, who, says Kim, "haven't had much of a relationship" since last season's epic blowout. "I'm going to bite the bullet and be civil with my sister," Kim resolves, while Kyle acknowledges, "It's still kind of shaky ground between us."

Taylor Armstrong Kept Photos Documenting Alleged Abuse From Husband Russell Armstrong

RadarOnline.com:
Taylor Armstrong kept photographic evidence of beatings that she allegedly endured at the hands of her estranged husband, Russell Armstrong, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Taylor began having pictures taken of what she alleges are proof of the physical abuse she suffered, several months prior to her decision to file for divorce from Russell.

“Taylor kept the photographs to document what was going on in her marriage,” an insider reveals to RadarOnline.com. “She didn't plan on including the pictures as part of her divorce proceedings.

“Taylor was too ashamed to do so. She began taking the pictures in the spring of this year, and there are recent pictures of a badly beaten Taylor. The most recent pictures were taken about a week and half before Russell's death.

The source goes on to say that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star "has always had problems dealing with any sort of conflict in her life. Taylor will do anything to avoid conflict, and this is one of the reasons that she stayed in the marriage.

“She kept thinking that Russell would change, that she could help him. Taylor is now realizing that by avoiding conflict, she made the situation worse.”

Barbara Walters Will Likely Get Taylor Armstrong’s First Interview Following Russell’s Suicide

RadarOnline.com:
Taylor Armstrong, star of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, will most likely give her first interview in the wake of her estranged husband, Russell Armstrong's suicide, to veteran TV reporter and interviewer, Barbara Walters, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

A source close to the situation says that Taylor has been besieged by media outlets trying to snag the first interview, and although she is more than willing to sit down and tell-all, when the time is right, it’s important to her that she can trust the person interviewing her.

"Taylor would likely feel the most comfortable with Barbara Walters,” the source says. “Taylor expects to be asked the tough questions, and will answer them.

“The interview will most likely happen in the next month or so, and not sooner. Taylor needs a bit more time before she is ready to talk about the suicide.”

Meanwhile, Taylor is trying hard to put back the pieces of her shattered life following the gruesome discovery of Russell’s body, hanging at a friend’s home on August 15.

Taylor and Russell’s only child, Kennedy, 5, has been hit hard by the death of her father, but as RadarOnline.com exclusively reported Taylor has decided it’s important for her daughter to try and move on, and the little girl will be starting kindergarten next week.

"Kennedy is very, very excited about starting school,” a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. “It's a prestigious school, and protected so Taylor knows that Kennedy will be okay. Taylor has been advised that the best thing for Kennedy right now, is for her to start school. Taylor knows some of the other parents and thinks this is the best thing she can do for Kennedy at this time.

Russell Armstrong Chilling 911 Call: "My Friend Just Hanged Himself"

TMZ.com:
TMZ has obtained the 911 call made moments after the body of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Russell Armstrong was found on August 15 at a friend's home where Russell was staying.

You can hear the caller say, "My friend just hanged himself, do you understand? Come over here and stop asking questions."

As TMZ first reported, Russell's estranged wife Taylor Armstrong was also there when the body was found -- and you can hear the caller console her ... saying, "Come here Taylor, it's alright. It's alright, it's alright." The first words you hear a sobbing Taylor say are, "I need my psychiatrist."

Perhaps the most heartbreaking part is when the caller reveals Russell's 5-year old daughter is also at the house. At one point he says, "Taylor, have your daughter go away please."

The 911 operator asks if Russell is beyond help -- and the caller responds, "No, there's nothing you can do, it's nothing we can do. Just please come as soon as possible."

Bravo Will Air Special To Address Russell Armstrong Suicide

LATimes.com:
Bravo will air a special addressing the suicide of Russell Armstrong, the estranged husband of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Taylor Armstrong, sources close to production told Show Tracker.

The ladies of the show -- Lisa Vanderpump, Camille Grammer, Kyle and Kim Richards, and Adrienne Maloof--filmed the special Monday; Taylor was not present. It's unclear if the special will air before or after the premiere of the show's second season.

An individual close to one of the "Housewives" said the ladies were not given specifics as to how things would unfold during their sit-down and that it was intended as a way to get their reactions to what happened.

The second season is still on the books as premiering Sept. 5; the network has wrapped the re-editing of the premiere episode. In the original version, Taylor is shown shopping for lingerie in an attempt to spice up her marriage and she later becomes emotional when discussing her attempt at marriage counseling.

A representative for Bravo would not elaborate on whether the scenes remained in the final cut.

Russell Armstrong's Business Associate Commits Suicide Just 24 hours After He Did

Dailymail.com:
There has been another shocking twist in the death of Russell Armstrong.

Alan Schram, a business associate and friend of the late Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star, also killed himself just 24 hours after Russell was found dead.

Alan's remains were reportedly discovered on August 16, outside of his parked car on Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles.

He had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was found just a few blocks from where Russell died.

The L.A. County Coroner later concluded that Alan's death was a suicide.

Alan, a managing partner of Wellcap, a hedge fund based in Los Angeles, also wrote about finance for the Huffington Post.

According to Huffingtonpost.com, he founded Wellcap Partners in 2000.

The website says he served as an officer in the Israeli Air Force and is a veteran of the Gulf War.

Alan was a graduate of UCLA's prestigious Anderson School of Management.

TMZ reports that Alan and Russell were both part of an exclusive group called Tiger 21, an organization of high net-worth business people, even though Russell was having major money problems.

The entertainment website says Taylor and some of the other Real Housewives stars were heard talking about how shocked they were that the two men killed themselves at Russell's funeral.

Beverly Hills Housewives Rally Around Taylor Armstrong at Russell's Funeral

USmagazine.com:
Taylor Armstrong was surrounded by loved ones -- including her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmates -- at a Wednesday funeral service for Russell, her late, estranged husband.

One of two private services was held early Wednesday evening at the Church of the Hills-Forest Lawn in the Hollywood Hills, where Taylor, 40, was consoled by her pals Lisa Vanderpump, Adrienne Maloof-Nassif and husband Dr. Paul Nassif, plus Kyle and Kim Richards. Entertainment Tonight reports that Cedric Martinez, a former houseguest of the Vanderpumps, was turned away from the event (Martinez had an ugly falling out with the Vanderpumps last year).

The funeral was not filmed.

As reported by Us Weekly, Russell's body was cremated, and his ashes were divided between Taylor and Russell's parents. A second service is planned in his native Texas.

Venture capitalist Russell, 47, was found dead at a private L.A. residence on Aug. 15 after taking his own life. He leaves behind Kennedy, his 5-year-old daughter with Taylor, plus two older sons from previous relationships.

Russell Armstrong Stopped Taking Anti-Depression Meds Two Weeks Before Suicide

RadarOnline.com:
Russell Armstrong had been taking anti-depressant medications to control his rage issues, but stopped taking the drugs two weeks before his suicide, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Russell had been taking the drugs for several months prior to his suicide.

Russell was found hanging at a friend's Mulholland Drive mansion last week - his memorial is scheduled for Wednesday.

"Russell had been doing so well when he was on the anti-depressants. He was prescribed the meds to control his rage issues. Russell stopped taking the meds two weeks before his suicide," a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com.

Taylor had encouraged her estranged husband to stay on the anti-depressants. "Taylor was very supportive of him taking the meds. All of a sudden about two weeks ago, Russell stopped taking the meds though," the insider says.

Ed Winter, Assistant Coroner for Los Angeles tells us:"No medication bottles for Mr. Armstrong were recovered from the scene."

Russell Armstrong Memorial Set For Wednesday At Forest Lawn

RadarOnline.com:
A memorial service for Russell Armstrong has been scheduled for Wednesday, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

Family, friends, and costars from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will gather at the Church of the Hills at Forest Lawn - Hollywood Hills to celebrate his life.

That's the same church where Brittany Murphy was memorialized after her sudden death in 2009.

As RadarOnline.com has been exclusively reporting, there's been a war of words between Russell's estranged wife and now widow, Taylor Armstrong, and his family ever since his shocking suicide Monday night.

It's not yet clear if any of Russell's family will attend the 3 pm ceremony. They have planned their own memorial in Texas.

Armstrong has been cremated, and his remains are reportedly being split between the two sides.

Taylor and Armstrong were in the early stages of divorce, but because it had not been finalized, she was still the legal "next of kin" when he died, and entitled to make all of Russell's final arrangements.

Bravo Will Reedit 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' After Death Of Russell Armstrong

Really, did they have any other choice?
Bravo has opted to reedit footage from the second season of 'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" in light of the recent death of featured husband Russell Armstrong, Showtracker has confirmed. It's still unclear if the premiere date, originally set for Sept. 5, will be moved.

A spokesperson from Bravo declined to specify how exactly the footage will be rejiggered (if Armstrong's appearance will be eliminated completely or if his involvement will be restructured and marginalized).

The network's president, Frances Berwick, told Variety, "Contrary to what is being reported, we have not made a decision to change our original premiere date but we are in the process of reediting the show."

Armstrong was found dead at a Mulholland Drive home on Monday night after hanging himself. His death prompted many to wonder how the network would move forward with the season, given Armstrong's role in wife Taylor's storyline. Much of the second season was supposed to chronicle the couple as their marital woes played out; Taylor filed for divorce in July.

The network's announcement comes after family members already expressed their views on how the situation should be handled. A nephew of Armstrong appeared on "Good Morning America" earlier in the week saying footage of the 47-year-old should be edited out. Armstrong's attorney, Ronald Richards, told ShowTracker that Armstrong's mother and father not only want footage of Armstrong taken out, but also footage of those associated with him -- which would include Taylor and the couple's daughter Kennedy.

RadarOnline.com:
Bravo TV executives called a mandatory "crisis" cast meeting Wednesday, at Adrienne Maloof's mansion, to discuss the suicide of co-star Taylor Armstrong's estranged husband Russell, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

"It was a somber meeting," an insider shares. "Everyone in the room was still in mourning and simply shocked by Russell's death."

We're told Bravo asked the housewives to say little to nothing at all to the press about Russell's suicide.

RadarOnline.com also learned that producers are still trying to figure out how and if they will air footage of Taylor and Russell, especially since the couple were working on their marriage through counseling -- all on camera.

"The people at Bravo just want to do the appropriate thing," the source insists. "Their first priority is being respectful to Russell, Taylor and their families."

Russell Armstrong Battled Depression, Had Huge Financial Problems Before Suicide

Yahoo.com:
The apparent suicide of Russell Armstrong — the estranged husband of Bravo's "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" cast member Taylor Armstrong — has sparked a massive amount of interest in his life, family, and business dealings.

While the details of Armstrong's death are still forthcoming, the late investor's history of financial ups and downs has been well documented. Armstrong was a venture capitalist who had apparently fallen on hard times.

According to celebrity site TMZ, Armstrong's lawyer, Ronald Richards, remarked that his client had large debt problems. According to Richards, Armstrong's "credit cards weren't working. … As far as a will, even if he does have a will, they don't have any assets, so I'm not sure what there would be left to leave." But the worries weren't only financial. Russell was also depressed about his looming divorce.

Last month, Taylor told People magazine that she and Russell had had a series of arguments. She accused Russell of shoving her. Russell told People that the show "pushed us to the limit." That comment and several others are sure to lead to questions about whether the "Real Housewives" program should be canceled. Armstrong, who was 47, leaves behind Taylor, as well as three children.

Before starring on the reality show about pampered wives in posh Beverly Hills, Russell Armstrong worked as a professional investor. According to his official site (which may suffer outages due to massive clicks), "Russell Armstrong has spent the past two decades as an investment banker and venture capitalist, where he has been instrumental in the development of over 200 businesses with early stage funding in excess of $2B dollars."

While that paints a picture of a secure and successful man, Armstrong was actually under considerable financial pressure. In July, he was hit with a $1.5 million lawsuit for breach of contract. The suing company claimed "it had hired him to expand its business but alleged he had misused the funds to redecorate the mansion he shared with his wife."

He also ran afoul of the law in 1997 when he he was convicted of felony tax evasion. Armstrong was sentenced to five years of probation. In 2001, he was accused of "fraud, negligent misrepresentation, statutory securities violations and breach of fiduciary duties." Starcasm.net hosts a PDF of the lawsuit.
By the way, although you know it's bound to happen anyway, let me say that Bravo should not be getting any blame for this tragedy. I'm not aware of any network that forces people to come on their shows. People who sign up for reality TV usually have a good idea of what they're getting into, plus they sign contracts--bottom line it's their choice to have the whole world get a peek of their everyday lives. Don't like reality TV? Think it exploits people? Fine, then don't watch it.

From many accounts Russell Armstrong seemed to be dealing with many personal demons that started way before his wife signed on to be on RHOBH. Did the show contribute to those problems? Maybe so, maybe not. But if they did then Russell Armstrong had no business being on the show (remember, Dina Manzo's husband Tommy never made an appearance on RHONJ) and I'm sure he wouldn't have been happy about Taylor appearing either. But Russell did appear on RHONJ several times and he wantonly spoke to the press as well. That said, while people will be quick to blame Bravo for Russell Armstrong's suicide, that takes away from the fact that the Armstrong's were grown adults who made the choice to appear on RHOBH.

Taylor Armstrong's Husband Russell Commits Suicide

TMZ.com:
Russell Armstrong, the estranged husband of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Taylor Armstrong, was found dead of an apparent suicide ... sources tell TMZ.

Our sources say Armstrong hanged himself. He was found hanging in his bedroom on Mulholland Drive.

We're told L.A. City Fire Department arrived at his home and pronounced him dead at 8:16 PM Monday. Sources say a roommate found Russell and called 911.

We're told authorities have not found a suicide note.

Taylor filed for divorce last month, after she claimed Russell physically abused her. We're told authorities informed her of Russell's death last night.

He was 47 years old.

UPDATE

8:13 AM: Bravo and the cast of "Real Housewives" were unaware of Russell's death. Kyle Richards was distraught when she saw the TMZ post, and Lisa Vanderpump was speechless.

8:38 AM: Camille Grammer just tweeted, "My sympathy and condolences go out to Taylor and Kennedy. My thoughts and prayers are with them."
Wow, this is shocking. Of course, only Taylor knows what really happened between her and Russell, but what I saw on screen last season always kind of creeped me out. And then since last season ended you hear about the Armstrong's being a therapy, getting a divorce and Russell admitting that he hit Taylor before, etc. I guess this is another example of the flip side to reality TV--there are (usually) no scripts, you're actually dealing with real people with real lives. Plus too, Taylor and Russell had a kid together. Wonder if the new season of RHOBH will be delayed now? Either way, how Bravo moves forward from this will be interesting to watch. Meanwhile, condolences to Taylor Armstrong and her family.

Taylor Armstrong Talks Split From Husband

EOnline.com:
As if the ladies of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills didn't have enough drama to deal with, try going through a divorce on top of all that catfighting.

"Unfortunately for me this year, there were a lot more tears, a lot more pain," Taylor Armstrong exclusively told us about her recent split with husband Russell Armstrong at this week's grand opening of Kendra Scott Jewelry in Beverly Hills.

How's their 5-year-old daughter Kennedy holding up in all this?

"I know it's going to be hard for me to watch a lot of it," Armstrong says of the series' sophomore season. "It's been such an emotional ride for me this year. And it's one thing to experience it, but then to watch it again on television and know that millions of other people are watching, it's going to be tough."

As for daughter Kennedy, Armstrong says, "She's doing great."

"I'm out and I'm spending a lot of time with my daughter right now," she said. "We're just trying to really take it day by day right now and trying to keep her life as consistent as possible and make sure she knows that she's surrounded by so much love and we're so fortunate that she really is."
