Brian Urlacher joined "Waddle & Silvy The" on ESPN 1000 and discussed the victory in the heat of the Lions.
"It's pure stupidity, if you ask me," Urlacher said, when asked to address those who say that a change specialist has no place in the Hall.
Hester scored his 12 punt return touchdown Sunday against the Detroit Lions. She now has 18 touchdowns return - including one on a missed field goal. That puts him one behind Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, who accomplished the feat in 188 games in his career. She has played in 85 games.
But Sanders also was a star cornerback, and Hester's inability to become an elite receiver side fuels the debate arguing against their inclusion in the Hall. Jan Stenerud is the only pure kicker in the Hall, while there is a pure return specialist.
"He changes every football game is," Urlacher said on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000. "He can punt out of bounds or is preparing to make a touchdown. That's the bottom line. Change everything you do.
"The best of all time at what he does, and in my opinion, when you're the best of all time in its position that should be in the Hall of Fame. It is a room on the first ballot of Fame in my opinion. He'll get 30 or so years back touchdown if people keep kicking it. It is a no-brainer for me. I do not see how people can not agree with that. "
Urlacher said Hester when it falls again for a change, the Bears are not in the game have their eyes glued.
"Every return punt return and I'm standing on the sideline watching," Urlacher said. "Everyone gets on the bench and goes up and watches.
"You know something special is about to happen. If you throw it, it will be a touchdown."
